DKI Wins Award as Best Local Government Organiser for 2025
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has received the award as the Best Local Government Organiser for 2025 from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), with a score of 3.6762, placing it in the high performance category.
“This is the result of the joint efforts of all Organisational Units of Regional Apparatus (OPD) in DKI Jakarta, allowing us to maintain this achievement. We hope it can be sustained in the coming years,” said Deputy Governor (Wagub) of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, upon receiving the award during the commemoration of the 30th Regional Autonomy Day in 2026 at the Ministry of Home Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Monday.
Rano stated that this achievement encourages the DKI Provincial Government to enhance the quality of governance, public services, and the effectiveness of development programmes.
“Going forward, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to maintain accountable, responsive government performance that directly impacts residents, in line with the spirit of regional autonomy and the direction of national development,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto said that the essence of regional autonomy is not merely the division of authority, but the responsibility to deliver tangible public services.
“Regional autonomy must be accompanied by continuous efforts to strengthen institutions and human resources. Not only capable regional heads, but also the ranks of OPD down to the sub-district and village levels,” he said.
Today, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held the ceremony for the 30th Regional Autonomy Day in 2026 at the courtyard of the DKI Jakarta City Hall in Central Jakarta, led by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta, Uus Kuswanto, who read out the message from Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.
“The theme of Regional Autonomy Day 2026, ‘With Regional Autonomy We Realise Asta Cita’, reflects the independence and responsibility of regions in optimally managing local potential, while still synergising with the central government,” he said.
Uus stated that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to strengthening coordination, collaboration, and synergy with the central government, while also being an active partner in formulating policies according to regional potential and needs.
“The spirit of regional autonomy is expected to drive the realisation of fair, equitable, and sustainable development,” said Uus.
