DKI Weekly: Jakarta LPDP Programme to Construction of 11 Large-Capacity Flats

A number of news items in DKI Jakarta over the past week remain noteworthy, ranging from the Jakarta provincial government preparing Rp100 billion for a Jakarta-specific LPDP programme to plans to build 11 large-capacity flats in 2027.

The Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared a budget of Rp100 billion for an education funding assistance programme through a Jakarta-specific Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP). Governor Pramono Anung stated that the agreed value of the LPDP programme, which will also be submitted in the regional budget (APBD), is Rp100 billion.

The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency invited representatives from online motorcycle taxi driver communities, online transport operators Gojek and Grab, PT Blue Bird Tbk, Green SM, road safety communities, and the police to discuss parking management in the capital. Agency Head Budi Awaluddin said that parking management and improving road safety require the involvement of all parties so that the resulting solutions can accommodate community needs while maintaining road function.

The DKI Jakarta Health Office announced that the draft Governor Regulation serving as the technical rules for Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2025 on Smoke-Free Areas, aimed at stopping the exploitation of tobacco product advertising, is in the final consolidation stage. Finalisation is targeted for next week.

The Blok M area in South Jakarta has been recommended to become the first pilot area for implementing a low-emission zone in Jakarta. This was revealed in a report titled ‘Jakarta Integrated Low Emission Zone: From Ambition to Action’ submitted by Breathe Cities to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo revealed that his administration plans to build eleven large-capacity flats in 2027. The decision was made after Pramono approved the allocation for flat construction during budget discussions held by the Jakarta provincial government.
