DKI to Form Special Team to Oversee School Repairs

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will form a special technical team to oversee the construction and repair of schools in the capital, including SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi, which is prioritised for immediate construction this year. “Tomorrow it will be discussed again, the technical team will be appointed, who will supervise, and so on. Because I do not want this hard-won development effort not to be carried out seriously,” said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in the South Jakarta area on Friday. Pramono explained that the task of the investigation and inventory team is to review schools that need repairs. After that, the investigation team will record the causes of the building damage, for example, if the building framework was not properly prepared beforehand. It is hoped that after being rebuilt, the school will stand strong, so students can learn safely and comfortably. He wants schools in the capital to be built by people who are truly professionals in their fields because the construction process at SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi is not easy. For this reason, the school reconstruction process will also draw on personnel from the Cipta Karya, Tata Ruang dan Pertanahan (Citata) Agency and the Bina Marga Agency, and will be coordinated by the Development Assistant. “Because previously, developments like this were all under the Education Agency. Now we are providing assistance for supervision because not everyone in the Education Agency has construction expertise. There will be assistance from Citata and Bina Marga,” Pramono clarified. Regarding the construction stages, he said SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi will first be written off. After that, the school will be rebuilt with a budget of Rp48.1 billion. The budget is sourced from the Floor Area Ratio (KLB) scheme and the Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P). “The first stage carried out is the write-off of this damaged building. So that it does not become a finding, everything is written off first. At the latest, September must start immediately. So, August is preparation for the write-off, appointing the contractor, and in September construction must begin at this location,” Pramono explained.
