The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta has prepared a special fare of Rp8 for each journey on the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT before the new route officially begins operations.

Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo said the fare regulation will be prepared through a Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub).

“We will apply the Rp8 fare. We will prepare the Pergub,” said Pramono in South Jakarta on Monday.

After the route officially operates, Pramono said the fare will return to a flat Rp5,000 until October next year.

Once the trial fare period ends in October 2026, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will recalculate the permanent fare for the route.

“Later, after the Pergub is in effect and the inauguration takes place, of course once it is inaugurated, the fare that will apply is the current LRT fare, which is a flat Rp5,000,” said Pramono.

To date, the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT has not yet begun carrying passengers.

Pramono said the DKI Provincial Government is still coordinating with the central government regarding the operational schedule of the LRT.

He is also waiting for the inauguration to be carried out by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.

Previously, the inauguration of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT was scheduled for Wednesday (26/8), but was ultimately postponed.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government then rescheduled the inauguration after evaluating the readiness of activities and services.

Although the construction of the track and rails is said to be complete, there are still a number of facilities that need to be improved before the LRT is opened to the public.
