- Pramono prohibits political intervention in DKI BUMD board selection
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has prohibited political intervention in the reshuffle or selection of directors and commissioners for Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD) DKI Jakarta.
He stated that the prohibition aims to select individuals with competence and professionalism for those positions.
- DKI announces 103 free private schools for the 2026/2027 academic year
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Education Office has allocated a budget of more than Rp200 billion for the free private school programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.
This year, the provincial government added 63 private schools to the programme, bringing the total to 103 free private schools.
- DKI prepares aid for food-producing regions if affected by El Niño
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that his administration is preparing assistance for food-producing regions as mitigation if impacted by the El Niño phenomenon predicted to occur from April to September.
“Of course, if there is an El Niño issue and it affects those regions, the DKI Jakarta Government will provide assistance, such as pumps and so on. Why is this done? To keep food production stable,” said Pramono during a statement at City Hall on Friday.
- DKI Jakarta’s first quarter 2026 expenditure realisation reaches Rp10.38 trillion
Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) Michael Rolandi said the regional expenditure realisation for the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp10.38 trillion, or 13.97 percent of the target in the Revised Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD-P) of Rp74.28 trillion.
“Revenue realisation is 13.39 percent, expenditure is 13.97 percent. This is the highest achievable in the last five years,” said Michael at City Hall, Jakarta, on Friday.
- DKI records 6.98 tonnes of sailfin catfish captured from operation in five regions
Head of the DKI Jakarta Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture Office (KPKP) Hasudungan Sidabalok stated that 6.98 tonnes of sailfin catfish have been captured in the simultaneous fish capture operation across five Jakarta regions.
“The sailfin catfish capture operation was carried out simultaneously by five city regions on 17 April from 07.30 to 11.00 WIB. The catch obtained reached 6.98 tonnes,” said Hasudungan in Jakarta on Friday.
