DKI Provincial Government Prepares Various Activities for Betawi Lebaran 2026
The Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing a number of activities during the three-day implementation of Betawi Lebaran 2026 at Lapangan Banteng on 10-12 April 2026.
“We invite all Jakarta residents and surrounding areas to attend and liven up Betawi Lebaran 2026,” said the Secretary of the Jakarta Province, Uus Kuswanto, in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
Gedung over four storeys in Jakarta must be connected to DKI CCTV
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has mandated that buildings over four storeys must be connected to the Provincial Government’s CCTV cameras to strengthen surveillance and create an integrated security system.
“So, for CCTV, we are deciding that buildings with more than four floors, in accordance with the Governor’s Regulation, will be connected to the CCTV managed by the Jakarta Provincial Government, so that Jakarta will be integrated,” said Pramono in Central Jakarta on Saturday.
Ragunan Extends Operating Hours until Evening for Jogging
Ragunan Zoo in South Jakarta plans to extend operating hours until evening for visitors who want to jog.
“We are not opening to see animals on weekdays, but only dedicated to visitors who want to jog,” said the Head of Public Relations at Ragunan, Wahyudi Bambang, in Jakarta on Saturday.
DKI Civil Servants Banned from Working from Cafes during WFH
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has banned civil servants from working from cafes or public places while implementing the work from home (WFH) policy every Friday.
“Regarding work from cafe or anywhere, if that happens, there will definitely be firm sanction actions for it,” said Pramono at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday.
Traders’ Turnover at Kramat Jati Market Drops 30% Due to Rubbish
Traders’ turnover at Kramat Jati Market in East Jakarta has dropped by up to 30% due to piles of rubbish up to about six metres high at the Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) in the market.
“Due to the rubbish piles, there has been a drop in turnover of up to 30%. Because shoppers are reluctant to go to the back, especially to my stall area. They are also reluctant to park. Whereas if they park, they usually shop at the same time,” said one trader, Syaeful, at Kramat Jati Market in East Jakarta on Wednesday.
