DKI Satpol PP Hopes to Have Its Own Office to Support Performance
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of DKI Jakarta, Satriadi Gunawan, hopes that the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP apparatus will have its own representative office to support performance and improve the working comfort of personnel in the field. “So, Jakarta doesn’t yet have a Satpol PP Office. We are still using space in Block H, City Hall. On the 16th floor. Sometimes, if there are visits from regions or areas, we still receive them at City Hall because we don’t have our own office,” Satriadi stated in Jakarta on Saturday. According to him, the availability of a DKI Jakarta Satpol PP office is very important. Moreover, Jakarta is a global city and has been named the second safest city in ASEAN after Singapore. For this reason, he hopes that in the future, DKI Jakarta Satpol PP can have an office to monitor the performance of personnel, who currently number 5,000 people. “We already have land in Cempaka Putih. I also conveyed yesterday that it is very urgent, to be able to control our members. We have also proposed it to Mr. Deputy Governor during the visit,” explained Satriadi. Not only that, he also highlighted the resting places for personnel, which are still considered minimal. Currently, many Satpol PP members are forced to rest in prayer rooms or office corridors because there are no adequate rest rooms available. He hopes that in the future, Satpol PP members can have adequate rest places because stamina is an important thing for Satpol PP members.
