DKI Public Works Department Repairs Damaged Road in Daan Mogot

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Public Works Department has repaired the damaged road at the intersection between Jalan Lingkar Luar and Jalan Daan Mogot at the Cengkareng traffic lights in West Jakarta, following complaints from residents.

“The road damage at that location was addressed last night,” said the Head of the Data and Information Centre (Kapusdatin) of the DKI Jakarta Public Works Department, Siti Dinar Wenny, when contacted in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Wenny stated that the repairs were carried out on Tuesday night (24/3) around 10:00 PM by the field technical team after receiving reports of the road damage on Tuesday afternoon (24/3).

Before being repaired, the road appeared severely damaged with around six deep potholes at various points.

The peeling asphalt damage even made the metal plates of the road joints visible and protruding to the surface.

Inside the gaping potholes, gravel materials and concrete wire structures were scattered, mixed with small puddles of water.

When passing through, road users were forced to slow down to avoid colliding with the road holes.
