DKI Provincial Government WFA Policy Remains in Effect Until 27 March

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that the work from anywhere (WFA) policy remains in effect for civil servants (ASN) after the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday, starting from Wednesday, 25 March, until Friday, 27 March 2026. “In accordance with the central government’s directives on the implementation of WFA and work from home (WFH), the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will implement the policy in line with the applicable provisions,” Pramono explained at City Hall on Wednesday. Therefore, Pramono continued, ASN who have not yet returned to the office directly on this Wednesday and for the next two days can still utilise that scheme. Nevertheless, after 27 March, Pramono stated that all ASN are required to follow normal working hours. If, he emphasised, there are still ASN who do not return directly, Pramono affirmed that sanctions will be imposed on those employees. “ASN who do not report to work without a clear reason will be given sanctions in accordance with the applicable rules. There is no room for disciplinary violations,” Pramono said. Sourced from the Circular Letter of the Minister of PANRB No. 2/2026 on the Adjustment of Duty Implementation for ASN Employees in Government Agencies during the National Holiday and Collective Leave for Nyepi Holy Day and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, the post-Eid 2026 WFA for ASN runs from Wednesday, 25 March 2026, to Friday, 27 March 2026. However, this post-Eid WFA policy is not counted as a holiday. ASN and private sector employees must still work according to their agency’s or company’s policies. Quoting from the official website of the Ministry of PANRB, this ASN Eid 2026 WFA arrangement is not interpreted as an addition to holiday days, but rather as a work flexibility arrangement to maintain the continuity of government administration and public services during the national holiday and collective leave period.
