The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to simplifying licensing and providing fiscal incentives to encourage investment and facilitate business activities. The provincial government has also introduced various programmes to foster entrepreneurship and expand employment opportunities.

“Among others, Jakarta Entrepreneur, job fairs, mobile training units, and TransJakarta Academy,” said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, when opening the 2026 Regional Business Forum themed “Indonesia Economic Outlook: Regional Strategies to Address Global Economic Dynamics” in Jakarta, as reported by Antara on Monday, 27 April 2026.

Rano stated that amid various global challenges, Jakarta has managed to maintain its position as an investment destination. In 2025, investment realisation in Jakarta reached Rp270.09 trillion, reflecting high investor confidence in the economic prospects and business climate stability in the capital.

He conveyed that Jakarta continues to accelerate steps to enter the ranks of the top 50 global cities by 2030. These efforts are supported by positive economic performance, with annual growth reaching 5.21 per cent (year-on-year) and a contribution of 16.61 per cent to the national economy.

Rano said the Regional Business Forum, initiated by the Association of Young Indonesian Entrepreneurs (HIPMI) Jaya, serves as an effort to address business world challenges amid global economic dynamics.

“This is a strategic space to strengthen synergy between government and the business world in facing increasingly complex global economic dynamics,” he said.

He stated that HIPMI Jaya plays a strategic role in driving innovation, strengthening competitiveness, and opening more employment opportunities.

“This forum is expected to produce concrete ideas that strengthen collaboration between government, the business world, and stakeholders, while increasing Jakarta’s competitiveness as an investment destination,” he said.
