The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will hold a halalbihalal event on 11 April at Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta. Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung stated that the halalbihalal serves as a forum for silaturahmi, allowing people to greet each other, forgive, and strengthen community togetherness. “As a complement to Eid al-Fitr activities, we will organise a halal bihalal event on 11 April 2026 at Lapangan Banteng,” Pramono said during the Jakarta Kolosal Bedug event at Bundaran HI on Friday (20/3) night. On that occasion, Pramono explained that the Jakarta Kolosal Bedug event represents the peak of Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Jakarta, featuring 1,000 drums from 261 sub-districts as well as representatives from Banten and West Sumatra Provinces. Additionally, a torch parade involving 5,000 participants with decorated vehicles and a fountain show were held. Through these activities, the Provincial Government aims to provide spaces for the public to celebrate the echoes of takbir in a safe and comfortable manner. “We present Bundaran HI as a space for social interaction, where residents can walk with their families, watch the fountain show and torch parade blended with lights and religious music, and feel the warmth of togetherness on this night of victory,” he said. Hundreds of residents began filling Bundaran HI in Central Jakarta on the night of Eid al-Fitr takbiran in 1447 Hijriah, Friday (20/3).
