DKI Provincial Government Provides 14 TransJabodetabek Buses on Blok M–Soetta Airport Route; Check the Route
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially launched the TransJabodetabek service on the Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport (SH2) route on Thursday, 12 March.
The new service has been introduced as an alternative public transport option to the airport whilst reducing private vehicle usage.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the provincial government is deploying 14 buses on this route with an inter-vehicle waiting time (headway) of approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
“The number of buses to be operated is 14 buses from 05:00 to 22:00,” said Pramono in South Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March.
With this fleet size, the DKI Provincial Government estimates the service can accommodate between 1,900 to 2,000 passengers per day during the initial operational phase.
“With the fleet of 14 buses, we estimate it will serve between 1,900 to 2,000 passengers, similar to when we targeted the TransJabodetabek Blok M–Bogor service,” said Pramono.
The route comprises the following stops: Blok M Lane 6 – Senayan Roundabout 2 – FX Sudirman – Gelora Bung Karno 2 – DPR MPR 1 – DPR MPR 2 – Seberang Sowan Shopping Area – Cengkareng Golf Club Road 1 – Soewarna Foodhall 1 – Cengkareng Golf Club Road 3 – Cargo Terminal 1 – Cargo Terminal 2 – Soekarno-Hatta Office Complex – Airport Train Station – Immigration SHIA – Cargo Roundabout – Ibu Pertiwi School – Swadaya Slipi – BPK Research Library – Seberang DPR MPR 1 – Gelora Bung Karno 1 – Summitmas – Senayan Roundabout 1 – Blok M Lane 6.
