DKI Provincial Government Allocates Rp 77.5 Billion for Revitalisation of Jakarta Pavilion at TMII

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government plans to carry out the revitalisation of the Jakarta Pavilion at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). The revitalisation is estimated to require a budget of up to Rp 77.5 billion.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, stated that they will prepare a more visionary concept with a long-term approach spanning up to 20 years ahead. One of the main focuses is to provide a more immersive experience by utilising digital technology.

“Now children have a different perspective. We must prepare towards the digital direction because that is indeed the era,” said Rano through a press statement in Jakarta on Sunday (29/3/2026).

Rano believes that the Jakarta Pavilion at TMII can become a showcase of Betawi culture. Not only that, the place is expected to serve as a venue for promotion and education that displays Betawi culture as well as the diversity of Jakarta’s society.

According to him, the revitalisation of the Jakarta Pavilion at TMII has been planned for the past two years. The funding will use a combined scheme, namely from non-Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) sources as well as APBD.

“This revitalisation has been planned since 2024 by the Department of Spatial Planning, Building, and Land Affairs. The total budget requirement is estimated at Rp 77.5 billion,” said Rano.
