DKI Provincial Government Adds Sanitation Facilities to Taman Bendera Pusaka
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will add sanitation facilities in the form of ten three-compartment waste sorting bins, five 600-litre stationary bins, and six 200-litre trolley bins at Taman Bendera Pusaka, Jakarta.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Parks and City Forest Service (Distamhut), M. Fajar Sauri, stated that this is a follow-up to public reports regarding the continued presence of scattered rubbish, despite existing waste bins in the park.
Fajar, in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, said that his office has stationed Individual Other Service Provider personnel (PJLP) in the Taman Bendera Pusaka area, South Jakarta, to remind visitors to maintain cleanliness.
βIn addition, several informational boards containing rules and appeals have been installed at various points as part of efforts to educate the public,β he said.
He emphasised that efforts to maintain cleanliness do not rely solely on providing facilities but also on collective public awareness. Early education is considered crucial for building habits of clean living and environmental care.
Therefore, he called on the public to be more concerned about the cleanliness of public spaces as a shared responsibility and stressed the importance of active roles by visitors in keeping the park clean.
With synergy between the government and the community, Fajar added, the cleanliness of Taman Bendera Pusaka is expected to be maintained sustainably, thereby providing a comfortable and enjoyable public space for visitors.
