DKI Population Agency Extends KTP-el Services Until Evening, Here's the Schedule

JAKARTA - Handling population documents in Jakarta no longer requires sacrificing school or work time. The DKI Population and Civil Registration Agency (Dukcapil) has reintroduced the “Friday Evening” service, a solution for residents who find it difficult to attend during regular working hours. According to the Instagram account @dukcapiljakarta, this service is scheduled every Friday in the second week of each month. For April 2026, the service will be held on Friday (10/4/2026) from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM WIB at all Dukcapil service points in Jakarta. For residents aged 16 years, KTP-el recording can already be done by bringing the latest Family Card (KK). Meanwhile, for those aged 17 and above, in addition to KTP-el recording, residents can also directly activate their Digital Population Identity (IKD) by bringing an active Android or iOS-based phone. In official Dukcapil information, this service is provided to offer flexibility to the public who cannot handle population administration on regular working days and hours. Interestingly, all these services are guaranteed to be free of charge, in accordance with applicable regulations. With the “Friday Evening” service, residents now have an alternative time to manage important documents without disrupting their main activities during the day—opening new avenues for public services that are more adaptive to community needs.
