DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Launches Call Centre with Free Towing and Funeral Escort Services
The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has launched a new call centre, accessible at 1500813, providing five types of free transport services to the public. Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated the service at the Bundaran HI in Central Jakarta on Sunday.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the function and benefit of this 1500813 call centre, which carries the tagline ‘one number for Jakarta’s transport solutions’, is to provide five types of services,” Pramono said after the launch.
The services include free vehicle towing and funeral vehicle escort. Pramono noted that managing funeral vehicles often causes traffic problems in Jakarta.
“The first is free vehicle towing. The second is emergency escort. The third is funeral vehicle escort,” he stated.
The call centre operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A total of 52 officers have been deployed to respond and provide services to residents in shifts.
“The response time from the call centre to the service being delivered, as conveyed by the Head of the Transportation Agency, is 15 minutes,” Pramono said.
On the same occasion, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Budi Awaluddin said his team has prepared several technical schemes to ensure there is no backlog of calls.
“We have provided several lines, four lines in total. This is to help prevent queues in the call centre,” Budi said.
