The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is implementing traffic management and engineering measures for the 1448 Hijri Muharam Festival, taking place at Taman Bendera Pusaka in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday (15/6) from 14.00 to 21.00 WIB. Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, stated that traffic arrangements have been prepared to support the smooth running of the event while maintaining mobility for residents in the surrounding area. “We urge the public to adjust their travel times and routes during the Muharam Festival. Road users are expected to comply with the traffic management in place, follow directions from officers on the ground, and prioritise safety while driving,” Budi said in Jakarta on Monday. During the event, an electric torch parade will proceed along a route starting from Jalan Barito I, passing through Jalan Lamandau, Jalan Mahakam II, Jalan Mahakam, Jalan Melawai, Jalan Gandaria Tengah III, Jalan Langsat I, Jalan Langsat, Jalan KH Ahmad Dahlan, Jalan Kyai Maja, and Jalan Leuser. As the parade will share road space with regular traffic, potential slowdowns are expected along these roads. To reduce congestion, road users can take alternative routes: from Jalan Pakubuwono to Jalan Fatmawati via Jalan KH Ahmad Dahlan–Jalan Kramat Pela/Jalan Melawai, or via Jalan Kyai Maja–Jalan Panglima Polim; from Jalan Radio Dalam to Jalan Pakubuwono via Jalan KH Ahmad Dahlan–Jalan Kyai Maja or via Jalan Panglima Polim. The agency also encourages participants and invited guests to use public transport services to reach the area, including Transjakarta routes 1C (Pesanggrahan–Blok M), 1M (Meruya–Blok M), 1Q (Rempoa–Blok M), 6T (Pasar Minggu–Velbak via Kebon Jeruk), 8D (Joglo–Blok M), 8E (Bintaro–Blok M), and S21 (CSW–Ciputat), which operate daily from 05.00 to 22.00 WIB. The public is advised to avoid roads affected by the event, adjust travel times, obey traffic signs, and follow directions from officers to maintain security, safety, order, and smooth traffic flow.
