DKI Jakarta Suspends Odd-Even Traffic Rule on 27-28 May 2026

DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has suspended the odd-even traffic rule across various road sections in Jakarta during the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah holiday and its associated leave days on 27-28 May 2026.

‘The odd-even traffic rule will be suspended on 27-28 May 2026. Please remain vigilant and adhere to traffic signs,’ said Acting Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Ujang Hermawan on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

The suspension follows Joint Ministerial Decrees (SKB) from the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Utilisation and Bureaucratic Reform, numbered 1497/2025, 2/2025, and 5/2025, regarding National Holidays and Shared Leave Days for 2026. Additionally, this aligns with DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 88 of 2019, Article 3 Paragraph 3, which states that the odd-even system is not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays designated by Presidential Decree.

The odd-even system is implemented at 25 locations across Jakarta to regulate private vehicle usage, in lieu of an electronic road pricing (ERP) system.

In Central Jakarta, the rule applies to Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan M.H. Thamrin and Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.

In South Jakarta, it is enforced on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Jalan Panglima Polim, Jalan Fatmawati, Jalan Balikpapan, Jalan Kyai Caringin, Jalan Suryopranoto, Jalan Gatot Subroto and Jalan HR Rasuna Said.

In West and East Jakarta, the system covers Jalan Tomang Raya, Jalan Jenderal S Parman, Jalan MT Haryono, Jalan DI Pandjaitan and Jalan Jenderal A Yani.
