The Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, has strictly prohibited the sale or transfer of tickets for the Free Mudik 2026 programme.

“Tickets are prohibited from being traded or transferred to other parties,” Syafrin stated firmly in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He said the programme was designed to provide convenience whilst maintaining administrative order to ensure the smooth running of the homecoming period.

To that end, he expressed his hope that the Free Mudik 2026 programme would help residents celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families in their hometowns safely, comfortably, and with full happiness.

Furthermore, Syafrin disclosed that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also determined the destination cities as well as the departure schedules for the bus fleet and motorcycle transport trucks.

Registration for the Free Mudik programme opens on 22 February 2026 online through the official website mudikgratis.jakarta.go.id.

After registering, prospective participants are required to undergo verification by bringing photocopies of administrative documents to the nearest verification location.

Should duplicate registrations be found in other mudik programmes, the registration will be automatically cancelled and the decision is final.

Regarding registration timelines, the DKI Transportation Agency has divided them into three clusters. The first cluster covers destinations including Solo, Tasikmalaya, Palembang, Madiun, Sragen, and Cilacap, with registration from 22 to 24 February 2026.

The second cluster covers Yogyakarta, Kuningan, Lampung, Tegal, Kebumen, Jombang, and Pekalongan, with registration from 25 to 27 February 2026.

The third cluster encompasses Wonogiri, Kediri, Malang, Wonosobo, Purwokerto, Semarang, and Sidoarjo, with registration from 28 February to 2 March 2026.

In addition to registration periods, verification timelines are also divided by cluster. The first cluster verification takes place from 25 to 27 February 2026, the second cluster from 28 February to 2 March 2026, and the third cluster from 3 to 5 March 2026.
