DKI Jakarta Optimises AI for City Governance, Prepares Infrastructure and Cultural Events
The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta is optimising the use of digital technology, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) in city governance as part of Jakarta’s transformation into a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable global city. Governor Pramono Anung stated that data, digital technology, and AI are now crucial factors in determining the competitiveness of a nation and city, and that Jakarta, as the national economic centre, has a responsibility to drive this transformation.
In a separate initiative, Perumda Pasar Jaya is promoting grassroots economic growth by organising a bazaar for micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) and culinary vendors at its head office in Central Jakarta. President Director Agus Himawan said the activity is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support UMKM and strengthen the people’s economic ecosystem in Jakarta.
Governor Pramono Anung is also set to inaugurate the results of the H.R. Rasuna Said area infrastructure project in South Jakarta on 21 June 2026, as part of the city’s 499th anniversary celebrations. The inauguration will coincide with a Car Free Day event.
PT MRT Jakarta welcomed support from the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) for the smooth construction of Phase 2A (Bundaran HI-Kota), which is part of a national strategic project. President Director Tuhiyat noted that support from various stakeholders is a key factor in maintaining construction progress so that operational targets can be met as planned.
Furthermore, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will hold a grand ‘haul’ commemoration for Betawi ulama and habaib on Friday, 19 June 2026, as part of the 499th Jakarta Anniversary celebrations. The event will be centred at the South Plaza of the National Monument (Monas) and is expected to be attended by approximately 20,000 worshippers from Jakarta and surrounding areas.
