DKI Jakarta Government Confirms CCTV at Bundaran HI Operating Normally

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Head of the Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency, Marulina Dewi, has confirmed that all operational infrastructure of the local government’s surveillance cameras (CCTV) in the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) area is in prime condition and functioning properly.

“We confirm that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s CCTV operations are running normally and are actively used to support public security, order, and safety, as well as area monitoring, including coordination with the police,” Marulina Dewi said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

She made the statement in response to media reports that several CCTV cameras in the Bundaran HI area could not be accessed by the public on Friday (12/6). Marulina stated that the disruption occurred on a third-party digital platform, not on the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s system.

She added that the availability of data, the smoothness of the streaming flow, and any viewing disruptions on that platform are entirely outside the management of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. This, she said, does not reflect the operational condition or functionality of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s original CCTV, which continues to record and monitor the situation optimally in the field.
