DKI Jakarta DPRD Chairman Ensures Optimal Services at Ragunan Wildlife Park

Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, wanted to directly ensure that public services were running optimally during the Eid holiday period. One of these was the services at the Ragunan Wildlife Park (TMR). Therefore, Khoirudin visited the Ragunan Wildlife Park on Wednesday, 25 March 2026. He directly inspected the visitor entry access system. Khoirudin appreciated the easy, practical, and modern services. “I want to ensure that the public can access it easily. (Using) an access card that’s easy, just tap it and it opens,” he said. “There are other options, also using a barcode,” he added. Ticket purchases are made directly through ‘Ticket Self Service’ machines. Payments are made using the QRIS method. Visitors do not need to install the Ragunan Wildlife Park application. Khoirudin assessed that this ease is very important. Considering that the Ragunan Wildlife Park is a favourite destination for Jakarta residents and surrounding areas during the Eid holiday. The Public is Entertained Khoirudin admitted to being happy seeing the high enthusiasm of the public when visiting the Ragunan Wildlife Park. He hopes that the Ragunan Wildlife Park can become a healing location for the public. “I’m happy, the public is entertained,” said Khoirudin. According to him, the Ragunan Wildlife Park is a recreational place as well as an educational facility for the public. “There are many animals. There are 2,200 animals from 230 species,” he said. On that occasion, Khoirudin also directly checked the condition of the animal enclosures. Ensuring that the enclosures are safe for visitors. “Safe (also) for the animals,” said Khoirudin. He appreciated the Ragunan Wildlife Park’s continuous innovations to attract public interest. Including maintaining cleanliness of the location amid a significant surge in visitors. “By 11 a.m., there were already 24 thousand (visitors). Extraordinary. The cleanliness is extraordinary. There are rubbish bins everywhere, staff continuously sweeping,” said Khoirudin. Add Supporting Facilities During his visit to the Ragunan Wildlife Park, Khoirudin also emphasised the importance of inclusive and friendly facilities for all visitors. He provided input to the management regarding the addition of supporting facilities. Especially to anticipate rainy conditions. “Don’t let the public go home from here getting wet in the rain, catching a cold. Install canopies for shelter,” said Khoirudin. He also appreciated the existence of a proper and comfortable lactation room for breastfeeding mothers. However, according to him, that location needs an addition of a special smoking area. So that visitors are comfortable, and it supports the Smoke-Free Zone (KTR) regulations. “The smoke-free zone must be maintained. But a special area for smokers also needs to be prepared so as not to disturb others,” said Khoirudin. Public space management, added Khoirudin, must consider all visitor needs.
