DKI Information Commission Urges SMPN 107 in South Jakarta to Enhance Public Information Services
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Information Commission (KI DKI) is urging SMPN 107 in South Jakarta to improve the quality of public information services.
This was conveyed by KI DKI Institutional Affairs Commissioner Aang Muhdi Gozali during the KI DKI visit to Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Thursday.
“The result of the E-Monev Public Information Disclosure achieved by SMPN 107 Jakarta with the ‘Approaching Informative’ predicate and a score of 82.5,” said Aang in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
According to him, this predicate serves as motivation for the school to continuously enhance the quality of public information services.
He also stated that the recommendations from the E-Monev results are provided as material for self-evaluation by public bodies to improve the quality of information services to the public.
“The aim of these recommendations is to give public bodies an overview so they can conduct self-evaluation and improve the implementation of public information services,” Aang said.
The development of public information systems, he said, is not only oriented towards achieving rankings in E-Monev but also towards the benefits that can be felt by the community.
“The predicate in E-Monev is merely a trigger and a form of appreciation. What is more important is how the public information system continues to develop and can be optimally utilised by the community,” Aang stated.
He also emphasised the importance of managing public information in accordance with the provisions of DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 40 of 2024, particularly regarding the classification of public information and the provision of periodic information, such as official profiles and financial reports in accordance with the specified limits.
“Public body websites should not only list information but must also present quality content that complies with regulations,” Aang remarked.
In addition, he said, the school was given an understanding of procedures for handling information requests and mechanisms for resolving public information disputes.
“Information applicants must be served through various service channels. Therefore, public bodies are encouraged to provide supporting facilities and infrastructure, such as PPID (Public Information and Documentation Officer) service counters and other information media,” Aang explained.
He added that future E-Monev assessments will not only focus on administrative aspects but also on the level of compliance of public bodies in providing information services to the public.
“Every year, assessments are conducted to motivate public bodies to improve service quality and guarantee the public’s right to information,” Aang added.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMPN 107 Jakarta, Rahayu, appreciated the input and recommendations provided by KI DKI. According to her, the visit serves as evaluation material so that the school can move forward better in managing public information disclosure.
“We continue to improve so that public information services can be utilised by the community, especially at SMPN 107 Jakarta,” Rahayu said.
She also hopes that the results of the visit and recommendations from KI DKI can have a positive impact on the development of the public information system within the school environment.
