Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung announced the launch of the Prime Ramadan Bazaar Jakarta 2026, running for two days on 9-10 March at City Hall on Monday.

The bazaar involves several regional state-owned enterprises (BUMDs), namely Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, Perumda Dharma Jaya, and Perumda Pasar Jaya.

Transactions at the bazaar are conducted electronically using QRIS, a digital payment system supported by Bank Jakarta.

Governor Pramono explained that the food staple packages sold at the bazaar are priced at IDR 100,000, although the goods inside have an actual market value of IDR 150,000.

Pramono expressed hope that the programme would help residents obtain essential needs at more affordable prices during Ramadan. He noted that visitors to the bazaar come not only from areas surrounding City Hall but from various regions throughout Jakarta.

According to Pramono, some residents who attended are also recipients of assistance from the Jakarta provincial government, including holders of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and beneficiaries of the free public transport programme.

The provincial government plans to expand the Ramadan bazaar beyond City Hall. Future events will be held at municipal offices as well as the Thousand Islands regency office.

“There will be bazaars at municipal offices and the Thousand Islands regency office,” Pramono explained.
