DKI DPRD Requests Optimal Public Services Despite ASN Working from Home Tomorrow
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, has requested that public services must be optimal even though the Central Government has decided that civil servants (ASN) will work from home (WFH) every Friday.
“We emphasise that services to the public must not be reduced in the slightest,” said Khoirudin in Jakarta on Thursday.
According to him, the DKI DPRD understands the WFH policy, but public services must continue to operate optimally, as the principle of bureaucracy is to serve, whether directly or online.
To that end, Khoirudin said the DPRD requests that every regional device organisation (OPD) ensure public services continue to run optimally, through shift systems, online services, or responsive complaint channels.
In addition, minimum service standards must still be maintained, including the speed, accuracy, and certainty of services for residents.
“Internal supervision is strengthened to prevent a decline in service quality due to more flexible work arrangements,” he stated.
Khoirudin also requested periodic evaluations to ensure the ASN WFH policy truly provides benefits without reducing the public’s right to good service.
“We also invite all ranks to make this policy a momentum to strengthen the digital transformation of public services, so that the public can still access services easily whenever needed,” he said.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo admitted to having signed Circular Letter (SE) Number 3/SE/2026 regarding the implementation of the work from home or Work From Home (WFH) rule every Friday.
The circular states that the proportion of ASN employees who can carry out WFH is at least 25 percent or at most 50 percent of the number of ASN employees in the subfield/subsection/section/subgroup/smallest work unit, done selectively considering the characteristics of tasks and types of work in each work unit.
“For Work From Home or Work From Everywhere actually, I as Governor have already signed the SE. So for each regional device organisation (OPD), the range is between 25 to 50 percent who do Work From Home,” explained Pramono at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday (7/4).
