DKI DPRD Approves Suhud Alynudin as Chair to Replace Khoirudin

The DKI Jakarta DPRD approved a proposal to replace the DPRD Chair in a plenary session held at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building. The position of DPRD Chair, previously held by Khoirudin, will be taken over by Suhud Alynudin.

The plenary session was led by Deputy Chair of DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ima Mahdiah. In her opening remarks, Ima stated that the number of attending council members met the quorum, with 83 members present.

“Out of 106 members, 83 are present, or about 78 percent, so the meeting can proceed,” said Ima during the DKI Jakarta Plenary Session on Thursday (30 April 2026).

Ima explained that the leadership change in the DPRD is based on statutory regulations, including Government Regulation No. 12 of 2018 and the Rules of Procedure of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

This replacement proposal is also based on the Decree of the Central Board of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) dated 2 April 2026 regarding the replacement of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Chair for the remainder of the 2024-2029 term. Ima then sought approval from the plenary session forum for the dismissal of Khoirudin as DPRD Chair.

“Is the proposal to replace Mr Khoirudin as Chair of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD approved?” asked Ima.

The DPRD members in the session simultaneously responded in agreement, followed by the gavel strike. Subsequently, Ima announced the name of Suhud Alynudin as the proposed replacement for the DKI Jakarta DPRD Chair from the PKS Faction.

This name will be proposed for official appointment by the Minister of Home Affairs through the Governor of DKI Jakarta.

“Mr Suhud Alynudin is proposed as Chair of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD for the remainder of the 2024-2029 term,” she stated.
