DKI Deploys 5 Mobile Veterinary Clinics Across Five City Regions

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has invited all residents to make use of the Mobile Animal Clinic services available at five locations across the national capital.

The Provincial Government of DKI previously deployed five Mobile Animal Clinic units operating across five administrative city areas to make it easier for residents to obtain animal health services.

Each unit is staffed by veterinary doctors and veterinary paramedics, ensuring that services remain professional, prompt and in line with animal health standards.

“I invite residents to make the best possible use of this service. All services are provided at retribution rates in accordance with prevailing regulations, so that residents can obtain animal health services that are accessible, high-quality and affordable,” said Pramono during an inspection of a Mobile Animal Clinic at the Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) Mustika in East Jakarta on Friday morning (10/7).

Pramono emphasised that the presence of the service reflects the commitment of the DKI Provincial Government to bring services closer to residents, maintain Jakarta’s status as a rabies-free city and support Jakarta’s ambition to be an animal-friendly global city.

The facilities offer comprehensive animal health services, ranging from consultations, health examinations, vaccinations, treatment, laboratory tests (routine blood, biochemistry, urine and faeces), ultrasound scans, sterilisation and minor surgery.

According to information displayed on the tariff board, animal health services at the Animal Health and Livestock Service Centre are based on Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2024 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Retributions.

For outpatient services, animal health examinations are charged at Rp35,000.

Meanwhile, examination and treatment for cats is charged at Rp70,000, whilst examination and treatment for dogs costs Rp100,000.

The same rate of Rp100,000 also applies to examinations and treatment for goats and cattle.

For procedures carried out in the operating theatre, minor surgery is charged at Rp175,000. Sterilisation services, which already include examination, laboratory and procedure costs, are set at Rp400,000 for cats and Rp700,000 for dogs. In addition, ultrasound (ultrasonography) diagnostic services are charged at Rp200,000.

For diagnostic laboratory services, blood or haematology examinations are charged at Rp100,000 per sample per type of examination, whilst blood biochemistry examinations cost Rp75,000 per sample per type of examination.
