DKI Deploys 5 Mobile Veterinary Clinics Across Five City Regions

Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung has invited the public to make use of the Mobile Veterinary Clinic services available at five locations across the Indonesian capital. The DKI Provincial Government previously deployed five Mobile Veterinary Clinic units operating in the five administrative city areas to facilitate public access to animal health services. Each unit is operated by a veterinarian and veterinary paramedics to ensure professional, fast, and standardised animal healthcare. “I encourage the public to make the best use of this service. All services are provided at retribution rates in accordance with applicable regulations, so the public can obtain animal health services that are easily accessible, of high quality, and affordable,” Pramono said during an inspection of the Mobile Veterinary Clinic at the Mustika Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) in East Jakarta on Friday morning. Pramono emphasised that the presence of this service demonstrates the DKI Provincial Government’s commitment to bringing services closer to the community, maintaining Jakarta’s status as a rabies-free city, and supporting Jakarta as a global, animal-friendly city. The facility offers a complete range of animal health services, from consultations, health checks, vaccinations, and treatment to laboratory examinations (routine blood tests, biochemistry, urine, and faeces), ultrasound, sterilisation, and minor surgery. According to information on the tariff board, the animal health service fees at the Animal Health and Livestock Service Centre refer to Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2024 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Levies. For outpatient services, an animal health examination is charged at Rp35,000. Meanwhile, examination and treatment for cats costs Rp70,000, while examination and treatment for dogs costs Rp100,000. The same rate of Rp100,000 also applies to the examination and treatment of goats and cattle. For procedures in the operating theatre, minor surgery is charged at Rp175,000. Sterilisation services, which include examination, laboratory, and procedure costs, are set at Rp400,000 for cats and Rp700,000 for dogs. In addition, electromedical services in the form of ultrasound are charged at Rp200,000. As for diagnostic laboratory services, blood or haematology examinations are charged at Rp100,000 per sample per type of examination, while blood biochemistry examinations cost Rp75,000 per sample per type of examination.
