DKI Committed to Simplifying Business Permits to Boost Investment
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to simplifying permitting and providing fiscal incentives to encourage investment and facilitate business activities. In line with this, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has introduced various programmes to nurture entrepreneurship and expand employment opportunities. “Including Jakarta Entrepreneur, job fairs, mobile training units, and Transjakarta Academy,” said DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno when opening the 2026 Regional Business Forum themed “Indonesia Economic Outlook: Regional Strategies in Responding to Global Economic Dynamics” in Jakarta on Monday. Rano stated that amid various global challenges, Jakarta has managed to maintain its position as an investment destination. In 2025, investment realisation in Jakarta reached Rp270.09 trillion, reflecting high investor confidence in the economic prospects and business climate stability in the capital. On that occasion, he conveyed that Jakarta continues to accelerate steps to enter the ranks of the top 50 global cities by 2030. These efforts are supported by positive economic performance, with growth reaching 5.21 per cent year-on-year and a contribution of 16.61 per cent to the national economy. Rano then said that the Regional Business Forum, initiated by the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Jaya, is an effort to address business world challenges amid global economic dynamics. “This is a strategic space to strengthen synergy between government and the business world in facing increasingly complex global economic dynamics. He stated that HIPMI Jaya has a strategic role in driving innovation, strengthening competitiveness, and opening more job opportunities.”This forum is expected to give birth to concrete ideas that strengthen collaboration between government, the business world, and stakeholders, while increasing Jakarta’s competitiveness as an investment destination,” he said.
