Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial BAZNAS (BAZIS) is distributing qurbani assistance through the Kurban Berkah BAZNAS 2026 programme, based on the National Integrated Economic Targeting Data (DTSEN), to ensure validation of extreme poverty and targeted aid delivery.

DKI Jakarta BAZNAS Chairman Akhmad H. Abubakar stated that they have officially introduced the Kurban Berkah BAZNAS 2026 programme with a more measured, transparent, and impactful approach for communities in need.

“Let us make this year’s Eid al-Adha a moment for Jakarta to share blessings,” said Abubakar in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He emphasised that qurbani is not merely an annual ritual but also part of efforts to equalise social welfare within society.

According to him, the distribution of qurbani aid is directed to 20 priority poor slum neighbourhood points spread across five administrative cities of DKI Jakarta to ensure that the sacrificial meat reaches communities with the highest priority mustahik status.

“As part of equitable distribution, DKI Jakarta BAZNAS also initiated the ‘Qurban Fest’ programme in Kampung Tanpa Matahari, an urban area with high vulnerability that has often been overlooked by conventional qurbani distributions,” he said.

In its implementation, Kurban Berkah BAZNAS 2026 offers various programme options, including Kurban Berkah Jakarta for distribution in DKI Jakarta areas, Kurban Berkah Pelosok Desa targeting 3T regions (frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped), Kurban BUMD & KORPRI for consolidating qurbani from BUMD employees and DKI Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants.

Furthermore, the Kurban Palestina programme implemented in collaboration with BAZNAS RI, up to meat alms programmes for the public wishing to contribute with more affordable amounts.

Abubakar added that DKI Jakarta BAZNAS is also introducing several innovations in this year’s qurbani implementation, including digitalisation of services via the BAZNAS BAZIS App and the official website donasi.baznasbazisdki.id.

“All of this is to make it easier for the public to participate in qurbani. In addition, some of the sacrificial meat will be processed into canned rendang as disaster logistics reserves and long-term food distribution,” he said.

On the other hand, DKI Jakarta BAZNAS is promoting the “Green Kurban” concept through the use of environmentally friendly containers such as besek at all supervised slaughter points.

The slaughtering process is also ensured to meet ASUH principles (Safe, Healthy, Intact, and Halal) through strict inspections and involvement of certified halal slaughterers.

Through this programme, DKI Jakarta Provincial BAZNAS invites the public, private sector, BUMD, and all elements to collaborate in consolidating qurbani for equitable distribution of benefits to those in need.
