DKI Attorney's Office Seizes Documents After Raiding Ministry of Public Works, Here is the Case

The Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DKI) raided the Ministry of Public Works (PU) today, 9 April 2026. The forced entry relates to alleged bribery occurring from 2023 to 2024. “Regarding the investigation into alleged criminal acts of corruption in several items of activities in the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year,” said the Head of the Public Information Section of Kejati DKI Jakarta, Dapot Dariarma, in a written statement on Thursday (9/4). The search was carried out at the building of the Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) and the Directorate General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of Public Works, including the offices of the Director General of SDA and the Director General of Human Settlements. “In its implementation, the Investigation Team visited several locations suspected to be related to the case,” said Dapot. Dapot explained that the search was based on the Investigation Order Letter Number: PRINT-09/M.1/Fd.1/04/2026 dated 3 April 2026 and the Search Order Letter Number: PRINT-28/M.1/Fd.1/04/2026 dated 9 April 2026. “The search is conducted as part of the investigation process to obtain and secure evidence related to the case in order to clarify the criminal events being handled,” said Dapot. Several documents and electronic devices were seized by the investigators in this case. Details have not yet been specified by Kejati DKI. “From the activity, the investigators secured several items suspected to be relevant to the investigation process, including documents and electronic devices,” said Dapot. The seized items will be analysed to deepen the case. In this case, Kejati DKI promises to work professionally. “Further developments regarding the handling of this case will be conveyed to the public as a form of transparency of information to the community,” said Dapot.
