REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEGAL – Outstanding achievements have once again been recorded by students from the Information Technology programme at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Tegal campus in the Krenova Kota Tegal 2026 event.

This student team successfully clinched third honourable mention thanks to their flagship innovation titled “DKC Technology (Intelligent Fire Detection for Fire Department Emergency Response)”.

This technology-based solution is innovatively designed to detect potential fires early, while also accelerating emergency response handling by firefighters.

The student team that has brought honour to UBSI as a Creative Digital Campus consists of Dinar Arreza, Laola Anni’matun Ardillah, and Sulthan Hafizh Bartholomeo. They have demonstrated the capabilities of the younger generation in creating technological solutions that address real challenges in society.

The peak of the Krenova Kota Tegal 2026 award ceremony took place on Thursday, 16 April 2026, at the Adipura Room in Tegal City.

This solemn event was attended by officials from the Tegal City Government and all related Regional Device Organisations (OPD), who also extended their appreciation to the local innovators.

The Head of the Tegal City Bapperida Department, M Ismail Fahmi, reported that this year’s Krenova received 101 innovation proposals from various groups, including students, university students, and the general public.

“All proposals underwent a rigorous administrative document verification stage before being evaluated by a competent judging panel. The evaluation process was conducted objectively based on aspects of innovation, benefits, implementation, and sustainability of the works,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Tegal, Dedy Yon Supriyono, expressed his appreciation to all participants who have contributed to creating innovations beneficial for regional development.

“I appreciate all participants who have contributed to creating innovations that are beneficial for regional development,” said Dedy. He also encouraged that the resulting innovations be continuously developed and implemented in society.

This event was also attended by the Secretary of Tegal City, Agus Dwi Sulistyantono, who, along with the OPD officials, demonstrated the strong commitment of the Tegal City Government in supporting a culture of innovation in the region.

The success of the UBSI Tegal campus student team serves as concrete proof of the younger generation’s contribution in the fields of safety and disaster mitigation.
