DJSN to Recommend Prof Ngoerah General Hospital Expand Services to Eastern Indonesia

The National Social Security Council (DJSN) will recommend that Prof Ngoerah Central General Hospital (RSUP) be expanded for a nationwide trial and practice for eastern Indonesia.

This was conveyed by DJSN member Mickael Bobby Hoelman during a field visit with Ministry of Health Secretary General Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha at RSUP Prof Ngoerah, Denpasar, on Wednesday (12/8/2026).

“I think I would like to recommend, having seen that Ngoerah Hospital and Bali Province could also be considered for a nationwide trial expansion of practice in eastern Indonesia,” said Mickael.

This is based on the feasibility and development of the hospital’s systems and facilities, which are adequate and ready to receive patients from eastern Indonesia.

“We also saw the standard inpatient class that has been prepared, which we certainly appreciate because it once again improves services for our participants and the National Health Insurance programme,” he said.

Mickael also assessed that social security is ready by utilising AI to assist in the social security verification process for patients.

“We certainly strongly support this, and we came here to see whether it can truly be felt and ease services, especially for participants,” he said.
