DJPb opens 37 PKN STAN placements for Papuan students

The Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) at the Ministry of Finance has opened 37 affirmative action placements at the State Finance Polytechnic (PKN) STAN for students in six provinces across Papua, as an opportunity to develop high-quality human resources in state financial management.

Head of the Ministry of Finance Representative Office for Papua Region, Izharul Haq, said in Jayapura on Saturday that improving human resource capacity is an important part of supporting sustainable economic management and development in Papua.

“Young Papuans have competence in the field of state finance, so this opportunity is very important to support Papua’s development going forward,” he said.

According to Izharul, education in state finance can serve as an investment in human resources by preparing professionals who will contribute to budget management, state assets, and financial policy in the regions.

“The 37 affirmative action placements are spread across six provinces in Papua: nine in Papua, six in West Papua, six in Southwest Papua, six in Highland Papua, four in South Papua, and six in Central Papua,” he said.

He explained that this is a good opportunity for young Papuans to obtain an education and prepare themselves to become competent human resources.

“Overall, for the 2026 new student intake we are providing 1,000 places, consisting of 700 students for the Applied Bachelor’s Programme and 300 students for the Diploma III Accounting Programme,” he added.

He expressed hope that students across Papua will make good use of this opportunity.

“Registration for the 2026 PKN STAN admission is conducted online through the SSCASN portal from 23 to 30 August 2026. We urge prospective applicants to register immediately and prepare all requirements and selection stages,” he said.
