Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) plans to release Coretax Mobile (M-Pajak) in the next two weeks. Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto said the channel is part of the Coretax ecosystem complement, aimed at increasing inclusivity and ease of tax services for taxpayers. ‘We understand that digital literacy among taxpayers varies. With the addition of this channel we hope to reduce the burden on the system as well as on service delivery,’ Bimo said at a media briefing at the DJP Head Office in Jakarta on Thursday. Coretax Mobile (M-Pajak) is an application that enables taxpayers to activate their Coretax DJP accounts and register Authorization Codes or Electronic Certificates more practically via mobile phone. The application enables taxpayers to file tax returns offline, before integrating them into the online system, he explained. The service system is expected to distribute the timing of tax reporting to reduce traffic during peak hours. Coretax Mobile is planned to be available for download via Google Play Store and the App Store. The existence of Coretax Mobile is also expected to facilitate tax reporting constraints in areas that still face connectivity issues, particularly 3T regions (lagging, forefront, and outermost). In addition to Coretax Mobile, the DJP is also seeking to complete the Coretax ecosystem through Coretax Form which has been launched previously. Coretax Form is an additional channel in the DJP Coretax system that can be used to report the Annual Tax Return (PPh) for income tax. Coretax Form has been accessible since 25 February 2026 and is intended for individual taxpayers with certain criteria. The criteria include having income that can come from work and/or business activities, filing the Annual Tax Return with Nil status, and not using the Norma Penghitungan Penghasilan Neto in calculating net income. Through this facility, he continued, taxpayers can retrieve the electronic form from the Coretax DJP system, fill it out offline, and upload the form again via the Coretax system.
