Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has recorded the number of annual tax return (SPT) filings nearly reaching 12 million as of 26 April 2026.

“As of 26 April 2026 at 24.00 WIB, the progress of annual PPh (income tax) SPT filings stands at 11,946,698 SPTs,” said Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations of DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday.

In detail, for the January-December fiscal year, the SPT reports come from 10,151,854 individual employee taxpayers and 1,298,971 individual non-employee taxpayers.

Additionally, 487,275 corporate taxpayers in rupiah and 402 corporate taxpayers in US dollars.

DJP also recorded SPT reports from the oil and gas sector amounting to 2 SPTs in rupiah and 13 SPTs in US dollars.

Meanwhile, for SPTs with different fiscal years reported starting from 1 August 2025, the details are 9,047 corporate taxpayers in rupiah and 34 taxpayers in US dollars.

As for Coretax activation, the progress recorded so far reaches 18,520,802 accounts.

This number comes from 17,383,511 individual taxpayers, 1,045,847 corporate taxpayers, 91,217 government agency taxpayers, and 227 Electronic System-Based Trading (PMSE) taxpayers.

The annual SPT filing period for individual taxpayers has been decided to be extended until 30 April 2026 from the original 31 March 2026.

DJP has also eliminated administrative sanctions for late payment and SPT filing for individual taxpayers until 30 April 2026.

DJP emphasises that it will continue to follow up on taxpayers who have not fulfilled their reporting obligations as part of efforts to increase compliance.

Taxpayers who are late in reporting annual SPTs will be subject to administrative sanctions in the form of fines, namely Rp100,000 for individual taxpayers and Rp1 million for corporate taxpayers.
