Nganjuk, East Java - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has recorded that as of 16 April 2026, the number of annual tax returns (SPT) reported has reached 11.29 million, precisely 11,286,900 SPT.

Director of Outreach, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that they are targeting at least around 15 million SPT to be reported by the end of April.

“So, by the end of April, the target is around 15 million (SPT). This is already quite good, because usually, many reports come in just before the deadline,” she said during a working visit to Nganjuk Regency, East Java, on Thursday.

She explained that this achievement already includes the reporting of SPT for individual taxpayers whose reporting period has been extended until the end of April. Meanwhile, for corporate taxpayers, which also ends in April, DJP is still considering options for extending the time.

DJP assesses this achievement as still on a positive trend, considering that reporting usually increases significantly towards the deadline.

Reflecting on March, there was a surge in reporting on the last day, 31 March, with around 405,000 SPT in one day setting the highest daily record. The average reporting throughout March also reached around 250,000 SPT per day, especially approaching the deadline.

“If now it’s already around 11.2 million to 11.3 million, that means there’s still about 3.7 million left in the remaining time. Hopefully, it can be achieved,” said Inge.

Furthermore, DJP emphasised that it will continue to follow up on taxpayers who have not fulfilled their reporting obligations as part of efforts to increase compliance.

“Now, colleagues are focusing on serving those (taxpayers) who report on time. For those who do not submit on time, we will pursue them later,” she concluded.

DJP also urged taxpayers to report their SPT immediately before the end of April to avoid a simultaneous surge in system access that could potentially cause disruptions.
