The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance recorded tax revenue from the digital economy business sector reaching Rp 50.51 trillion up to 31 March 2026. This digital tax comes from the collection of Value Added Tax on trade through electronic systems (PPN PMSE), cryptocurrency tax, fintech peer-to-peer lending tax or online loans (pinjol), and tax from transactions for the procurement of goods and services through the government procurement information system (SIPP tax).

DJP Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations Inge Diana Rismawanti stated that the digital tax base and business compliance are increasing. “Digital tax revenue up to March 2026 continues to show a positive trend despite some data adjustments, including the revocation of several PMSE collectors,” she said in an official statement quoted on Wednesday, 28 April 2026.

Up to 31 March 2026, PPN PMSE deposits reached Rp 38.76 trillion, deposited by 231 PMSE collectors. Throughout March 2026, DJP also made adjustments to the list of PPN PMSE collectors. Two entities designated as new PPN PMSE collectors in that period were Match Group Americas, LLC and Ionos Inc. Meanwhile, DJP revoked two collectors, namely Zendrive Inc. and Tencent Mobile International Limited.

As for cryptocurrency tax deposits up to March 2026, they have accumulated Rp 2 trillion. This comes from Rp 246.54 billion in revenue in 2022, Rp 220.89 billion in 2023, Rp 620.38 billion in 2024, Rp 796.73 billion in 2025, and Rp 118.31 billion up to 2026.

Meanwhile, fintech tax contributed Rp 4.77 trillion up to March 2026. Fintech tax revenue comes from Rp 446.39 billion in 2022, Rp 1.11 trillion in 2023, Rp 1.48 trillion in 2024, Rp 1.37 trillion in 2025, and Rp 360.38 billion up to 2026.

Other digital economy business tax revenue comes from SIPP tax receipts. Up to March 2026, SIPP tax revenue amounted to Rp 4.98 trillion. Inge stated that the largest increase in digital tax revenue comes from PPN PMSE and SIPP tax. “PPN PMSE recorded an increase of Rp 1.36 trillion, while SIPP tax reached Rp 884.21 billion,” she said.
