IKPI, Jakarta: The Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto met with the board of platinum members of AmCham Indonesia on 19 May 2026 to discuss the direction of Indonesia’s tax policy, the modernisation of the tax system, and efforts to enhance regulatory certainty for the business community. The meeting, held at the Director General of Taxes office, also addressed the government’s steps to strengthen state revenue without disrupting the investment climate. In the forum, Bimo emphasised the importance of involvement by business actors in supporting the implementation of effective tax policies. ‘The Director General noted the government’s initiatives to strengthen revenue collection, enhance administrative capacity, and maintain a conducive investment climate, while emphasising the importance of engagement with the business community to support the implementation of effective policies,’ according to AmCham’s statement on Friday (22/5). Managing Director of AmCham Indonesia Donna Priadi said the business world requires a tax system that is transparent, efficient, and predictable to support long-term investment and Indonesia’s economic competitiveness. According to Donna, ongoing dialogue and collaboration between the government and the business community are key to creating business certainty while strengthening investor confidence. Also in attendance at the meeting were Director of International Taxation DJP Dwi Astuti, Director of Tax Regulation I Rosmauli, Director of Potential, Compliance, and Tax Revenue Eureka Putra, and Director of Tax Data and Information Eddi Wahyudi.
