Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law is currently designing changes to the types and tariffs of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) services for intellectual property (IP). The draft adjustment to IP service types and tariffs has entered the discussion stage between the ministry and stakeholders, as part of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Types and Tariffs of PNBP, held from 7 April to 10 April 2026. The event, taking place at Hotel Mercure Cikini in Central Jakarta, is a step by DJKI before the public testing of the amendment to Government Regulation No. 45 of 2024 on 9 April 2026, which serves as the basis for changes to IP PNBP service types and tariffs. “In these two days, we are refining both the matrix and the body that we will present in the public testing,” said the Head of Finance Section of DJKI, R. Bagus Andika Priyo Sujatmiko W., quoted from a written statement on the DJKI website on Friday (10/4/2026). This FGD serves as a forum to perfect the substance of the matrix and body of the draft amendment to PP 45/2024 before presenting it to the public. The entire discussion process is directed to ensure that PNBP tariff adjustments remain aligned with improvements in service quality and strengthening of the national IP protection system. Technical discussions involve the DJKI Technical Team along with the Directorate General of Budget of the Ministry of Finance, the Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Law, and the Directorate of Harmonisation of Legislation of the Ministry of Law. This cross-unit involvement is conducted to ensure that changes to PNBP types and tariffs have an accountable calculation basis and can be implemented effectively. According to DJKI, the adjustment of IP service PNBP types and tariffs is prepared to support enhancements in public service quality and provide certainty for service users. DJKI hopes that proportional policies will encourage optimal utilisation of IP services by the public and business actors. Through public testing, DJKI opens opportunities for participation from the public and stakeholders to provide input on the formulated policies. As is known, IP services cover registrations to extensions of Copyright and Industrial Design; Patents, Layout Designs, Integrated Circuits, and Trade Secrets; as well as Trademarks and Geographical Indications. Each has tariffs for registration and extension, as listed in the attachment to PP 45/2024. For copyright, for example, the tariff for Recording Creations and/or Related Rights Products is set at Rp 200,000 per application. Then, for SME patent applications Rp 350,000 and general Rp 1,250,000 per application. Meanwhile, Trademark Registration Applications for SMEs Rp 500,000 per class and general Rp 1,800,000 per class. Specifically for Trademark Protection Period Extension Within the Time Frame of 6 months before or up to the end of the trademark protection for SMEs Rp 1,000,000 and general Rp 2,250,000, and within the Time Frame of a maximum of 6 months after the end of the trademark protection for SMEs Rp 2,000,000 while general Rp 4,500,000.
