DJKA Provides Free Motorcycle Transport with Trains, Here Are the Routes & Registration Details
The Free Motorcycle Transport with Trains Service (MOTIS) has been launched again for the 2026 Eid holiday exodus. This programme by the Ministry of Transportation aims to provide a safer alternative for motorcycle users during the homecoming period.
The announcement was made by the Directorate General of Railways, Allan Tandiono, in Jakarta on 1 March. Allan stated that MOTIS implementation aligns with the government’s efforts to reduce road accident risks during the homecoming period.
He also explained that based on a survey by the Transportation Policy Agency of the Ministry of Transportation, approximately 24.08 million people will travel home using motorcycles, creating safety risks for riders.
“Through the MOTIS programme, the Government seeks to provide a safer, more comfortable, and free travel alternative,” Allan said in a statement on Monday, 2 March 2026.
MOTIS 2026 Eid registration opens from 1-29 March 2026. The transport period is set for 13-19 March 2026 for the outbound exodus and 24-30 March 2026 for the return journey. Registration can be done online at nusantara.kemenhub.go.id or offline at the following posts:

There are specific terms and conditions for 2026 Eid MOTIS participants. Participants must register online or at designated registration posts. Participants must not be enrolled in any other free homecoming programme. Those who have registered must participate; if they withdraw or cancel, they cannot participate in subsequent periods.
Registration requirements include: participants must have a national ID card, family card, and Class C driving licence; motorcycles with a maximum engine capacity of 200cc; one motorcycle is provided with two passenger tickets and one infant ticket (for children under 3 years old, free of charge), with the condition that train tickets must be under the name of the registered MOTIS participant, the second passenger must be listed in the participant’s family card, and tickets cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, or have passenger names changed.
Participants who successfully register online must verify at the designated post during the selected verification time to prevent automatic registration deletion. Participants who only register a motorcycle must have proof of homecoming using other transport modes. Motorcycles must be surrendered two days before departure at support stations and one day at other stations. Upon motorcycle surrender, participants must show the original national ID of the registrant and proof of registration.
