DIY Weather Forecast Today: Partly Cloudy All Day

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) for the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has released the weather forecast for the DIY region today, Friday (5/6/2026). There is no potential for rain across the entire region today; the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy throughout the day.

Citing the official BMKG DIY Instagram account, @infobmkgyia, all areas of Jogja city are not likely to be hit by rain today. The weather is predicted to be partly cloudy to cloudy all day.

All areas of Sleman are also predicted to be free from rain today. The weather is forecast to be partly cloudy to cloudy throughout the day. This includes the Prambanan Temple area, the Kaliurang area, and the slopes of Mount Merapi, namely the districts of Pakem, Turi, and Cangkringan.

There is no potential for rain in the Bantul region today; the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy all day. This includes the coastal tourist areas throughout Bantul, such as Parangtritis Beach.

All areas of Kulon Progo also have no potential for rain today, including the Menoreh Hills area, coastal areas, and Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). The weather is predicted to be partly cloudy to cloudy throughout the day.

All areas of Gunungkidul also have no potential for rain today; the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy all day. This includes coastal tourist areas throughout Gunungkidul, such as Indrayanti Beach.
