DIY Regional Government Monitors 120 Companies That Owed THR Last Year
DIY’s Department of Labour and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) has carried out early detection targeting companies that were reported last year for delaying payment of the Tunjangan Hari Raya (THR) to their employees. Last year, 120 companies were reported for late THR payments.
Ariyanto Wibowo, head of Disnakertrans DIY, said the move was intended to prevent the problems affecting hundreds of firms from recurring.
‘For companies that last year had reports of THR payments, early detection will be implemented for this year to ensure THR violations do not occur,’ Bowo said when contacted on Thursday (5/3/2026).
‘The total number of complaints last year was 120 companies, with the highest number in Sleman Regency. The type of violation most frequently reported was THR not paid less than H-7 before Lebaran.’
Last year, according to Bowo, from hundreds of companies they were summoned one by one for clarification. After that, most of the companies fulfilled their obligations. However, some companies were sanctioned for not paying THR.
Sanctions imposed included, starting with written warnings, restrictions on business activities, temporary partial or full shutdown of production facilities, and freezing of business activities.
‘For THR complaints in 2025, the number of companies that received an administrative sanctions recommendation from labour inspectors was 11. The rest were paid in full after the DINAS team summoned the companies,’ Bowo said.
‘(Details) Kota Jogja: 3 companies have paid; Sleman: 4 companies; 1 company has paid?; 2 companies have closed; 1 reporting company could no longer be contacted. Bantul: 4 companies, 2 have paid; 2 licences are outside the DIY province,’ he explained.
Bowo emphasised that to date there have been no complaints received regarding THR in DIY. The right to receive THR is protected by Permnaker No 2 of 2015. ‘There have been no THR reports this year,’ he concluded.
