What is Cum Dividend?
Cum dividend is the final deadline for investors to purchase shares in order to have their names recorded in the shareholder register entitled to receive dividends. If shares are purchased after the ex-dividend date, the investor no longer obtains the right to that dividend distribution. Therefore, investors targeting dividend income need to pay attention to the cum dividend schedule, recording date, and payment date set by each issuer.
Conclusion:
The week of 22–24 June 2026 is one of the busiest periods of the dividend season on the BEI. Issuers such as BSSR, PTBA, MKPI, DMAS, CEKA, TINS, PWON, and SMRA offer dividends with attractive nominal values. In addition to considering the dividend amount, investors also need to scrutinise company fundamentals, business prospects, and profit sustainability so that investment decisions are not solely oriented towards dividend yield, but also towards the quality of the company’s long-term performance.
