BOGOR, KOMPAS.com - BYD Indonesia acknowledges that there are still consumers who must wait in queues for the distribution of some of its flagship products, including the Atto 1, due to supply constraints.

For this reason, Luther Pandjaitan, Head of Marketing, PR & Government at BYD Indonesia, asks the public to be patient while conveying an apology for the inconvenience.

“First of all, on this occasion, I would like to express my apologies if there is still a waiting time or vehicle order backlog, especially for the Atto 1, due to the high level of orders that have come in so quickly,” Luther said in Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday (13/5/2026).

“Currently, together with our dealers, we are reorganising the ordering system to make the fulfilment process more optimal. So no consumer is left out, while also ensuring that the information provided to consumers runs smoothly,” he continued.

“We will continue to provide clear information to consumers regarding the situation and realistic delivery promises, so that there is no miscommunication at the retail level. We understand this situation and apologise if there are still consumers who have to wait,” he said.

“Rest assured, we will catch up,” Luther stated.

“I cannot yet specify the operational month, but we are indeed entering the final stage. This is important because it concerns compliance with our operations,” he added.

“In the finalisation process, we do not want to take it lightly. We must ensure that the products produced meet BYD’s standards and quality. That also takes time. However, in principle, we want to do it as quickly as possible so that the factory can operate soon,” Luther said.
