Social assistance (bansos) is once again a sought-after topic among the public, particularly for those awaiting confirmation of the second quarter 2026 distribution.
According to detikNews, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) will accelerate the social assistance distribution process for the second phase of 2026. The assistance includes regular programmes: Sembako (BNPT) and Family Hope Programme (PKH).
This policy aims to ensure that social assistance is distributed on time and to the right targets. Therefore, the public must confirm their status as recipients for this phase. Here is how to check second quarter 2026 social assistance recipients.
Second Quarter 2026 Social Assistance Distribution Schedule Accelerated
The distribution of social assistance for the second quarter of 2026, covering April, May, and June, will be carried out faster than previous periods. Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, popularly known as Gus Ipul, stated that this acceleration is to ensure aid reaches those in need promptly.
According to detikNews, Gus Ipul emphasised that the ministry will speed up the process provided recipient data is received and validated. He also mentioned coordinating with the Ministry of Finance for smooth implementation.
“Insyaallah, we will accelerate the distribution as long as the data has been received, and we will coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and so on; we will hand it over or distribute it through Himbara or possibly PT Pos,” explained Gus Ipul on Sunday (12/04/2026).
Additionally, Kemensos is accelerating updates to recipient data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Normally, the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) is received on the 20th of each month, but it has been brought forward to the 10th every quarter. According to his statement, this latest data will serve as the main guideline for second quarter social assistance distribution and subsequent months.
The second quarter 2026 social assistance distribution is expected to begin after 10 April 2026 or around the third week of the month once the latest data is received and verified. The distribution mechanism remains the same as before, through Himbara and PT Pos Indonesia, to ensure aid is delivered on time and accurately.
Amount of Second Quarter 2026 Social Assistance
Each recipient group receives aid amounts adjusted to their needs and conditions. In this second phase, regular social assistance includes BPNT and PKH with varying amounts.
According to the official Kemensos website, Sembako Programme or BPNT aid is Rp 200,000 per month per Beneficiary Family (KPM), disbursed in cash or non-cash via banks or post offices.
For the Family Hope Programme (PKH), here are the aid amounts for this second phase:
Pregnant women: Rp 750,000
Children aged 0-6 years: Rp 750,000
Primary school students: Rp 225,000
Junior high school students: Rp 375,000
Senior high school students: Rp 500,000
Severely disabled individuals: Rp 600,000
Elderly aged 60 and above: Rp 600,000
Victims of gross human rights violations: Rp 2,700,000
