JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The distribution of People’s Business Credit (KUR) for Housing in Bali has reached Rp50 billion as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen financing in the housing sector for the public and small business actors.

This achievement was revealed during a socialisation event for KUR Housing or Housing Programme Credit (KPP) organised by the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) in Bali on Monday (16/3/2026).

“Following the directive of President Prabowo Subianto, Himbara banks are urged to disburse more credit to small businesses and the public, not just to large entrepreneurs. We want the people’s economy to grow and gain fair access to financing,” he stated.

He explained that housing has a broad economic chain, involving various small business actors, from building material suppliers, labourers, to contractors and construction services.

“KUR Housing or Housing Programme Credit (KPP) is present to expand easier and more affordable financing access for the public and small business actors in the housing sector. With inclusive financing, we aim to strengthen the housing ecosystem while driving the people’s economy,” added Ara.

During the event, a signing and realisation of credit financing for housing sector business actors took place, with a total credit closing of Rp50 billion.

The KUR Housing programme is expected to accelerate housing development while expanding financing access for the public and small business actors in the housing sector.
