Distribution of Ecstasy and Etomidate Vapes at West Jakarta Hotel Suspected to Have Been Ongoing for 12 Years

JAKARTA - The Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri suspects that the practice of distributing narcotics at the B Fashion Hotel nightlife venue in West Jakarta has been ongoing for 12 years. This suspicion arises from investigation results and statements from several parties secured during a raid operation on Saturday (9/5/2026). “Estimated statistical conversion of narcotic evidence that has been distributed at B Fashion over 12 years,” said the Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso, in his statement on Friday (15/5/2026). Bareskrim estimates that hundreds of thousands of ecstasy pills and tens of thousands of vapes containing etomidate have circulated during the venue’s operation. Police estimate the number of ecstasy distributed to reach 328,500 to 657,000 pills, with an economic value of approximately Rp 328.5 billion to Rp 675 billion. Meanwhile, for vapes containing etomidate, the suspected circulated amount is 21,900 to 54,750 units, with an estimated value of Rp 65.7 billion to Rp 164.25 billion. From these estimates, Bareskrim suspects the number of people who have consumed narcotics at B Fashion to reach 339,450 to 684,375 individuals. “The conversion of souls estimated to have consumed ecstasy and etomidate vapes at B Fashion is around 339,450 to 684,375 individuals,” Eko stated. Bareskrim states that the suspicion of long-running narcotic distribution is due to a closed distribution pattern involving various parties, from rogue nightlife workers to external supplier networks. Police also discovered the term “red code,” suspected to be used as a code to restrict narcotic transactions following the increase in law enforcement operations at nightlife venues. According to the confession of suspect Dania Eka Putri alias Mami Dania, before the implementation of the “red code,” visitors could purchase narcotics through waitresses who then contacted the room captain so that the pharmacist would deliver the narcotics to the guest room. “B Fashion Hotel distributed narcotics through pharmacists coordinated by the captain,” Eko explained. In addition, police suspect the nightlife venue deliberately maintained 24-hour operations to attract visitors from various backgrounds. Police seized 16 ecstasy pills and 111 vapes containing etomidate, with the value of the evidence reaching Rp 682 million. Currently, investigators are still delving into the involvement of management and business owners, including tracing fund flows and suspected money laundering crimes (TPPU) from this narcotics business.
