Policewoman with initials Brigadier YM is reported to have stolen Rp 1,103,000 from a customer at a beauty salon on Jalan Ba’a-Busalangga, Mokdale Village, Lobalain District, Rote Ndao Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Friday 6 March 2026. The customer who lost the money is Sabrina Ana Flora.

‘The person in question serves in the Detention and Evidence Unit (Sattahti) of the Rote Ndao Police Resort. We have summoned the victim and the accused for clarification,’ said the Rote Ndao Police Chief, AKBP Mardiono, to detikBali on Sunday 8 March 2026.

Mardiono explained that the case began when YM and Sabrina were queuing at the salon owned by Anggi Mandala. Sabrina had left her bag containing the money on a chair to go to the toilet.

When Sabrina returned, it was her turn to have her eyebrows threaded. After that, Sabrina intended to pay, but part of the money had disappeared.

Sabrina then suspected YM as the perpetrator. Sabrina subsequently filed a report via the Propam Presisi Polres Rote Ndao service for reporting the incident.

Following the report, the Rote Ndao Police’s Patrol Unit, Ipda Maximus Lona, moved to the location. YM and Sabrina were then taken to the Rote Ndao Police for clarification in the Sipropam room. ‘At that time, the victim also filed a report via the Propam service QR code,’ Mardiono said.

According to Mardiono, during clarification, YM admitted the act. The money taken by YM was immediately seized as evidence. However, YM has not yet been detained because the Rote Ndao Police are awaiting instruction from the Propam division of Polda NTT for further handling.

‘Not yet detained because the report was filed via the QR Code of the Police Propam Service. Later, instructions from Polda will indicate whether the offence is a disciplinary violation or an ethics code violation. Propam Polres Rote Ndao is currently seeking clarifications from relevant parties. We remain committed to handling this transparently in accordance with applicable rules,’ Mardiono explained.
