Dissent creates disintegration?
Dissent creates disintegration?
From Media Indonesia
Dissent will give rise to the truth, so a French saying goes, more or less. In Indonesia, however, dissent has led to conflict, even to disintegration.
For instance, the disagreement over a female president has lasted for some time, without a resolution to discover the truth.
Another example is the differing views about reform, which continue to proceed without any conclusion.
What comes out of dissent here takes the form of fighting between political supporters or tribal war, like that in Timika, Papua. The nation may still have to learn more about democracy.
