Disruption at Pasar Senen Station Causes Train Delays

Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta states that a number of long-distance train services (KAJJ) were delayed due to operational disruptions that occurred at the Pasar Senen Station complex. “We are continuing to accelerate operational normalisation and adjust operating patterns to minimise the impact on customers,” said Franoto Wibowo, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, in Jakarta on Friday.

Franoto explains that the operational disruption occurred on the Jaka Tingkir locomotive and the Serayu train set, causing a backlog of train departures from and to Pasar Senen Station. As a result, several train services scheduled to depart from Pasar Senen Station were delayed.

In addition, a number of train services due to arrive at Pasar Senen Station were temporarily held at Jatinegara Station while awaiting normalisation of operations. KAI Daop 1 Jakarta stated that handling and evacuation operations continued until around 13:30 local time. Operational updates will be communicated periodically to customers through KAI’s official channels.

“KAI Daop 1 Jakarta apologises for the inconvenience experienced by customers due to this operational disruption,” he said.

As a form of service to affected customers, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta also provides service recovery in accordance with applicable regulations. Station personnel have been on standby to assist customers, including providing periodic travel information and additional services for passengers experiencing delays.

The affected train services departing from Pasar Senen Station include:

  1. Train 284 Serayu Pagi, Pasarsenen–Kiaracondong, scheduled departure 09:30 WIB, estimated departure 13:30 WIB.

  2. Train 272 Airlangga, Pasarsenen–Surabaya Pasarturi, scheduled departure 09:15 WIB, formation at Dipo Cipinang.

  3. Train 204 Tegal Bahari, Pasarsenen–Tegal, scheduled departure 10:20 WIB, formation at Dipo Cipinang.

  4. Train 90 Gaya Baru Malam Selatan, Pasarsenen–Surabaya Gubeng, scheduled departure 11:10 WIB, formation at Dipo Cipinang.

  5. Train 270 Matarmaja, Pasarsenen–Malang, scheduled departure 11:25 WIB, formation at Dipo Cipinang.

  6. Train 256B Jaka Tingkir, Pasarsenen–Solo Balapan, scheduled departure 11:50 WIB, formation at Pasar Senen Station.
